Thanks Tim. Looks like we need to find a unique approach in strapping down the foam for a more aggressive sanding. I've seen a few foam holding tool, but not too keen in getting them. I can make them myself. However, this is pretty neat. Will be looking for a lot of the $0.99 pair of sandals. LOL

In the back ground you can see an open package of emery boards for doing your nails. I cut one end at a 45 and use the pointed end t do the close shapes.  You can't go real fast because you'll stop the spinning foam and the arbor will keep turning and polish the inside of the foam.  When that happens the foam will not turn.  It just stops easily when you try to sand it.  Take it off and throw it away, start over.  every once in a while you'll need to use some heavy grip sand paper on the needle.  Make sure that the Dremel is off and stopped.  grip the needle with the sand paper and slide along the needle.  Then go again.

Hey Tim, which tool do you use to make the pope carving to specific shapes, like a concave or convex, for the foam cut out? That is one wicked way to use a dremel tool as a lathe machine.
