Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Did you ever get to a new campground only to find out they do not have a place to clean your fresh caught batch of bluegill???? ( Happened to me)

Now you have to find an alternate. You can use a board on the tailgate of your truck, which is fine, but unless you have a monster truck that can be hard on your back!!! Picnic table works but,  for obvious reason that is is not good either!!!!!

       I have a solution.....

The Portable Fish Cleaning station. Its portable, it is light weight, adjustable height and easy clean up!!!!! This is an old metal ironing board. Picked up this one at the city wide garage sale in Whizbang, Ok.!!! I know the folks in both houses there!!!

So, Do you have a mess of gill to clean????

How about a mess of crappie????

No problem just reach into the back of the pick-up, set up and let the cleaning begin!!!!!! It will set up anywhere, next to the lake or pond or the parking lot of the local Wal-mart.

Just kidding about the Wal-mart thing. They had no sense of humor about the carcussess in the dumpster. But the lighting was good!!!!!

So the next time you are out at the garage sale wars, keep in mind this little device. For a couple of dollars you  can have one of these PORTABLE FISH CLEANING STATIONS TOO!!!!

So from a contributor of INWEEDS MAGAZINE and a proud member of BIGBLUE GILL.COM

I highly recomend you get one of these PORTABLE FISH CLEANING STATIONS  and put it to good use.  ( you know that RONCO wished they had thought of this one)!!!!!

Thank You for your time and consideration, an don't you forget......

These are just handier than pockets on a shirt!  Just think, holes for the scales and "stuff" to fall thru, then just turn it over and a few swishes in the lake and it's clean and ready to go again! Thanks for the great idea, Greg!

Artie, Wow, you do know the area do you have kin-folk here????

I have fished that hole, and I will bet you tell a good ghost story!!!! The legend of STELLA is old but I am a skeptic. I have caught crappie There but never swam there. Not because of the haunting!! Tell me did she reach out and grab you? Since she was supposedly never found, some say she is reaching out to be pulled from of her watery grave!!!!!! LOL

Im thinking this is actually a doable thing. Add a washable, removable top, a tool hanger and maybe some of the foam shelf liner stuff to keep things from sliding around.

Greg, The Cleaning station is a great idea... I know very well where Whizbang is. 2 miles south of there is a little hole on Salt Creek, one of the few deep spots on the creek.Do you know of it? One of the few spots with boulders and a sandy bottom, not banks of clay. Do you know of what I speak? Did YOU ever go for a swim there? I did ONCE, but never again.
