Check out the picture of my Garbage Fly, it's real easy to make and it is lethal.
I used to have a large managuenses cichlid (about 12.5 inches long) but it was in a 155 gallon tank with a huge wet/dry filter, the smallest tank you should keep gills in would probably be 55 gallons, 12-13 gallons is way too small.
This fly was made from scraps left over from a fly tying session and works better than any of the flys following other recipes...go figure. When the fish are surface feeding this fly catches fish just about every time it lands on the water. I throw…

My stomach usually doesn't give the scales enough time to join in on the action though.

Oops sorry Zach I forgot about need a trout stamp on your license.
Bank access has improved since they began stocking trout back in the late 90's. As of now State regs require a trout license to fish it during the season ($10). If you plan to launch a boat you will need a permit. Not sure about other options as far…
About the only time you can fish Pawhuska from the bank is when they drop the lake for trout season. There is no cost to fish it.
I know, I will have to try it out this fall when the temps drop a bit. Can you fish it from the bank at all, and is there a cost to fish it?
