sounds good, i don't fly fish all the time but i do enjoy it and like to tie some of my own patterns as well as tie jigs as well. we'll have to exchange cell numbers. i might even visit buck valley this winter yet. i think there is a way to personal message someone or email, not sure if we can exchange that kind of info on these posts or not....maybe some one can chime in and let me know. thanks,

Hi Bruce, I had them custom made for me but they used two piece, 8 foot 4 weight fly rod and two piece, 8.5 foot 6 weight fly rod blanks. Graphite of course. On the 6 weight my rod locker only takes 8 foot max so they cut 3" of each end to stiffen it up some. I use these latter rods for walleye fishing, the 4 weight for panfish.

Since I use braid they used non ceramic guides and if you use slip bobbers then you need some oversized guides so the bobber stop doesn't hang up all the time. Also don't put a real long handle on them, think mine are only 12" with the reel seat just slightly forward of center in the handle. Can't stand using a longer rod with a 18" or longer handle section which most of it is usually wasted because they stick the reel seat at about 12-14" from butt end.

If I can help you any more let me know. arrowskp@live.com is my email where I could take pictures of these rods and send them to you.

    Thanks, Kelly
