Jeremy snags a huge sockeye Salmon.....Another North American River Monster....

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

Jeremy got a chance to feature the White Sturgeon species and landed this 9 footer during filming......

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

Another South American catfish species caught by Jeremy Wade filming River Monsters.......

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

    Jeremy with another big catfish......

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

Jeremy with a big South African Bull Shark.....Be careful where you take a swim....These things are showing up in strange places, far away from the ocean in freshwater.....

  • Leo Nguyen

Wow, look at the bone pallet of that cat fish. Your hands will feel the pain if you plan on noodling. Youch.

  • John Sheehan

Jeremy was catching Alligator Gar last night on my TV!

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

John Sheehan did you see the big 327 pound gar that went to the taxidermist in Mississippi...I added the completed photo version...Impressive River Monster on a Rod n'Reel.....

  • John Sheehan

Yes sir Jeff, real impressive !!! I'm always here at bbg.com, dont always comment but i'm here

  • bobby emory

jeremy wade has two books out an older one called down the crazy river which is out print and the river monsters book which the latter I recommend the other the copies you find are out of my range
  • Dwayne Denison

Crazy river book is way out of my range. It is like $355 even on abe books

  • bobby emory

I love to read but 355 is not worth it haha
  • NJAngler

Great to have this group on BBG; I love the show. The only thing that I don't like is that there's too much time between new episodes. I'll happily watch reruns, but after the 15th time, even I can't watch them anymore.

  • NJAngler

Also, why is Somewhere Down The Crazy River so expensive? I know it's out-of-print and rare, but the only copy I saw was on Amazon for over $1,500!

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

Thanks for joining NJAngler.......like you, after a couple of the holiday marathons I'm ready for some new shows......As for the book......it's very expensive regardless of where you find it....Looking forward to another season premier but I still don't know when that is yet......

  • Dwayne Denison

found it on abe books for around 300. somewhere down the crazy river, wasn't that a song or album from robbie robertson, from the group the band?

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

For the fans of River Monsters you'll be happy to know that the season # 4 premier will air in April, the date is still "To Be Determined"....Up to now there has been 29 episodes and this years lineup includes several new shows filmed in the United States. The states of Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri are some that will be featured but no word yet if Bruce will join Jeremy down in Richmond Mill.....LOL

  • Leo Nguyen

Wow. They up the season's shows by a whole 1/2 year. Nice!

  • Dwayne Denison

Thanks Jeff, I cannot wait. I know the old ones by heart.

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

I agree Dwayne...I'm kind of interested in the trips featured here at home to see what Jeremy is up to and which bodies of water are featured.........

  • Tony Livingston

I sense a trip for Flatheads, and another for Blues.............

  • Leo Nguyen

No kidding Tony. I think Jeremy might be contacting Bruce, and have him release some of his monsters for Jeremy to chase after. "I'm here in central U.S., chasing after the mysterious breed of monstrous bluegills, nicknamed 'The Condello Giants'..If I don't make it out without getting my tackle box of spoons ripped to shreds, then I haven't hit the notorious Condello's Giants."

  • David, aka, "McScruff"

    Looking forward to new episodes.

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

Season Premiere this Sunday night on Animal Planet........

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

This first episode is titled "American Killers"!

  • Tony Livingston

It's almost time!! Season 4 kicks off in a few minutes!

  • NJAngler

Does anyone else think that the Unhooked notes that pop up on the bottom of the screen are a little distracting during a new episode?

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

I agree....don't mind on the reruns......kind of adds a little to the show if you've already seen it....like during the marathons....

  • Allen Morgan

Maybe have Jeremy Wade go after the "Caddo Lake Monster", a reported 15' Gator gar in Caddo lake.

Wait, he basically did that in the season opener, didn't he?

  • Leo Nguyen

Keep those season's title coming. I don't have subscribed channels any more, since all our viewing is done through web-feeds and Netflix. I'll search on YouTube and other web-feed sites.

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

New Episode tonight @ 10:00 p.m. eastern on Animal Planet....."Pack of Teeth" is the title.......Enjoy!

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

New episode on Animal Planet in two minutes!

  • Leo Nguyen

YEAH!! Made it home just in time from snowboarding.

  • Leo Nguyen

Since River Monster got some new show, I gave in and got a cheap cable subscription as part of a faster internet bundle upgrade. Watched the new episode, and the rerun of the last episode. So tantalizing..Wish I could catch monsters like he does.

  • John Sheehan

    Vundu!!,in the Zambizi River!

  • Allen Morgan

He's basically just using a baitcaster reel with a bait clicker.  However, everything is extreme saltwater grade, and extra-heavy-duty.  Not really any different than chasing Flathead catfish, except everything is much, much stronger.

  • John Sheehan

Yea,Jeremy Wade is always making his own leader rigs at waterside .He uses big Circle hooks! Seldom throws lures ,usually cut or live Bait .

  • John Sheehan

The Mekong Giant Catfish!!! Caught on a single piece of corn. http://animal.discovery.com/videos/river-monsters-mekong-giant-catf...

  • Leo Nguyen

Have anyone been watching the recent episode? I missed out on the last 2 due to out-of-town activities. Didn't have DVR to record it..bahhh...

  • John Sheehan

Check out that link I put up below Leo  .I saw the entire episode last night and that link is the short of the best part!

  • Leo Nguyen

Thanks John. Looks like I have to download the aired episode through Torrent or YouTube.

  • John Sheehan

Enjoy the link , I did .That Mekong is  a cool looking Catfish and unbelievable it can go 600 lbs. That's outrageous! I would've thought it grapped a huge cut bait .

  • Allen Morgan

I heard an announcement of the season finale coming up soon?

What the Frak?!?!?!?!?!  This season just started!  What, we only get 8 episodes?

  • Leo Nguyen

Wait..wait..we're at the 8th episode already? Waaahhh?!

  • Allen Morgan

Well, now that I think about it, 8 international fishing trips a year in search of a mega-fish is probably pushing it.

  • Angelo C Mastrando Jr.

Just watched the new episode, Global warming is a killer!

  • Greg Wade

Just for the record.....Jeremy and I are not related.  Don't laugh, I've been asked before.

  • NJAngler

The only bad thing about this show is that it has to take forever to produce just one episode, therefore the season isn't going to be that long. Think about it; just for one episode Jeremy has to travel halfway around the world, spend weeks fishing at a location, then all the footage has to be watched, edited, polished, and produced. Gotta be a ton of work.
